The design studio
The studio is an Australian small business, based in Sydney, operating since 1999, and independently owned by James Armstrong.
James leads every project (with occasional specialised technical skills, or additional capacity, provided by trusted collaborators when needed).
Consumer- and industry-facing projects have been successfully designed for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (since 2015), the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (since 2013) and employee communications and advertising for Qantas Airways (over 7 years). Many client working relationships extend over 10 years.
Company founder, James Armstrong, is a senior creative with 28 years’ experience in graphic design and advertising.
James’s creative skills have been recognised by industry peers with 23 design and advertising awards. Clients are happy too.
James is a Member of the Design Institute of Australia (Australia’s peak industry body for professional design) and a Professional Member of the Australian Graphic Design Association (Australia’s peak national organisation representing the communication design profession).
