The design studio
The studio is an independently owned Australian small business, based in Sydney, and operating since 1999.
Design services are performed by James Armstrong. Where a project requires specialised technical skills, or additional capacity, external supporting services are contracted and managed internally by James.
Services are agile and responsive to changing events (e.g. COVID-19).
High-value projects have been successfully designed for Qantas Airways (over 7 years) and small- to medium-sized businesses. The studio is a contracted service supplier to the Australian Government (since 2009). Most clients have worked with us for 5 years or more; some for over 10 years.
Company founder and project lead is a senior creative with 28 years’ experience in graphic design and advertising disciplines.
James’s creative skills have been recognised by industry peers with 23 design and advertising awards. James’s service is personalised and accountable which pleases clients too.
James is a Member of the Design Institute of Australia (Australia’s peak industry body for professional design) and a Professional Member of the Australian Graphic Design Association (Australia’s peak national organisation representing the communication design profession).
